Tom Relax - Spa and Massage

I booked a deep tissue with Andy having never been to this establishment before. I chose it because it's close to my work and I pass it regularly. I had no real expectations but had I they would have been exceeded immediately. The decor is pleasant and the atmosphere is very relaxing. I was extremely happy with my massage, Andy really gets in there. Deep tissue should be a reasonable combination of challenging tissue manipulation and relaxation, it definitely was. I booked another message as soon as I was done. I will recommend Tom Relax to anyone looking for a massage recommendation going forward.

I have been a customer of Tom Relax since they first opened. I'd had deep tissue massages from Tom and Liz at another spa prior to that. The massages they've given me rate the best by far when compared to massages I'd received from other providers before that. I've received great benefit from the treatments at Tom Relax for soft tissue issues in my shoulders and left hip from new and old injuries. It's allowed me to continue enjoying the activities I love to do.

My wife and I have been having therapeutic massages at Tom Relax since they opened their doors to customers. Except for the last five months due to the Pandemic regulations, we have monthly visits for massage. Their practitioners are skilled at addressing the needs of each client. We have always been treated with the utmost professionalism, care, and attention. Their attention to our specific needs, even as they may change is amazing. The facility is pleasing and relaxing, and their service respectful, as they provide skillful massage. We highly recommend Tom Relax for your massage therapy.

Pros: can usually get an apt pretty easily, so if you want something quick, they can usually accommodate. Some of them can work pretty deep, which I like. Have a punch card program, so if you get the same thing every time, you can fill a punch card. Fairly reasonably priced for what they offer. Nice people, clean environment, willing to serve you!

Cons: they’ve switched therapist on me several times, even though I’ve booked ahead for a specific therapist, as well as canceled on me last min, not Worst thing ever, it happens, but still not greatest service. Learned it cannot be my go to for a spot treatment, or specific ailments. They Spend most the time one your back even if you book treatment massage and say specifically what areas you want (like feet, neck, or arms/shoulders). Ex: I requested only arm/hand, maybe little shoulder and feet work work if extra time. They only spent 2-5 min on my arms and did mostly my back. And I had paid the extra they charge for a treatment massage vs regular.

Overall: “does the trick” at a reasonable price but I’m still looking for a good treatment therapist that’s willing to investigate my issues, and provide thorough treatment work...
