This is fun little park to explore! 🙂 Dogs are allowed on leash. The park has an easy trail that is kid friendly.
There is very limited parking though!
CAUTION!! The exit to the parking lot has one way spikes that will shred your tires!!
I can’t for the life of me understand why this would be necessary. There is signage we noticed before pulling in and avoided disaster, thankfully because we had no cell service at the lot.
Once you make it to the trail, it’s a nice quick escape into a beautiful area with gorgeous trees, bird song and rushing waters. The falls are beautiful, though less than spectacular. The real treat here is the calm easy walk near the calming water.
If you want a great outing in nature but don't want to go too far, Moulton Falls should be on your list. It isn't exactly close to downtown Vancouver, but it is a beautiful place. River, waterfalls, rapids, a train tunnel, a picturesque bridge... this is a wonderful destination for a Sunday stroll.
Beautiful and not terribly busy. A small handful of people around, but no one was disruptive to me enjoyment of this beautiful natural area.
Easy to access, very easy-going, and no fee needed (maintained by county vs state, fed). Very well maintained as well.
Tourists should try to get there earlier in the day, especially in spring/summer months.
Be careful with the primary parking lot, you may enter only one way. Those that enter through the exit portion of the lot will be greeted with punctured tires, due to in-road teeth.
