“My Granddaughter and I wandered through the store. She wound up with 2 Harry Potter Lego sets, a really soft stuffed cat, and a kaleidoscope. It's a great local small business with a friendly and extremely helpful salesperson. She even walked ahead of me to make sure there was enough room for my wheelchair. There's a gaming area in the back for after-school gaming. I was impressed, but alas, if you're looking for Barbie Dolls, you'll have to go next door.”

“Martina Richards was able to help me as well as my family tremendously and has really improved my relationships with my family and people in general. I HIGHLY recommend her! Also, I am wheelchair bound, the Handicapped access is on the left side of the building. Unfortunately, the website doesn't show this.”

“I have used Ron's Red Barn RV Repair for a number of years now. I find Ron personally to be a very positive, "can do" individual with a high degree of integrity. I have owned a number of RV's over the years, and he has always had the answer for my "sticky" problems, and fixed them promptly, and thoroughly. I would recommend his service to anyone looking for honest, excellent service.”

“A true gem in the heart of the Hood Canal . Extremely well managed from owners on site and off course the soul of the outfit is Mike who runs the day to day camping operation . The facilities are Always clean and well taken care off. WiFi is strong and healthy . The store is super well stocked with some real local culinary goodies as well local art. For emergency fishing needs you find it all. You run out of spices a nice bulk selection where you can buy quantities to your needs - think all the crab boil you need to cook . You can rent a crab boiler on site . A lovely place to spend time as well in the fall for hikes and outdoor adventures. Well done keep it up we will see each other again. Andreas”

“G'day All...this is the second vessel on which I have NFM portlights. The first boat (a Dyer 29) I fitted with bronze units and made teak in/out-side surrounds as none were offered at the time...(circa 2005) This new (to me 1981 trawler) had the NFM chrome plated units installed in about 2003. Needless to say I have been delighted over the years with the quality of these products, especially the ease with which they are adjusted when required. I recently had to replace one of the screens (2016) and the new unit came as a rubber surround insert which looks superior to the old , ill fitting brass unit. I have been impressed with the efficiency and friendliness of the personnel with whom I have dealt, especially Jarelle. I no longer live in the Pacific Northwest but if I did I would hustle up to Port Townsend, WA and buy the whole crew a round of good cheer. Best Regards, John Shore , Easton, MD”

“Great breakfast options until 2pm. Situated in the Port Townsend Boat Haven/marina. Parking was tricky, but after almost completing a circle around the building, I found a parking spot next to a beautiful wooden boat. I ordered a mimosa, which came in a juice glass. We got there about 1120 am on a Monday and beat the rush. We watched a few parties get.put on a wait, but not for very long. In good weather, there are picnic tables for outdoor eating. I had the super veggie has deluxe with bacon, over medium eggs and toast. It was AMAZING!!! My friend got the South of the border scramble and enjoyed it.”

“Kudos to Peninsula Pest Control. A totally honest pest business. I met with him on an ant issue and for the first time, ever, dealing with a pest control company, he did not try to sign me up for a year's contract. He gave good information and advise and did not charge me. He will be the first one I call, if I do need pest removal.”

“The entrance was a little difficult to find from the road, but once we turned in, it was a nice, clear drive with well-marked parking for horse trailers closer to the road and cars deeper in, on the north side of the lake. A discover pass or day pass is required for parking. Unfortunately, there is a possibility of toxic algae right now, so there is no lake access. The trails are clear, but not paved, so hiking up the hills and gaining elevation is not recommended for those with mobility issues. Near the entrance, however, there are flat trails that may be more accessible. I was disappointed with the provided map that may need to be updated and trail markings that are so worn they were not useful. That wide, it is a great park for some light-to-moderate hiking, even though we accidentally turned onto a different trail and ended up taking the higher route around the lake instead of meeting back up with the one we started on to just head back down the way we came 😂 As for wildlife, there were some red squirrels and a lot of small birds near the clearing of the grave site. As for plants, if you take the elevated trail that goes along the east side of the lake, you will be surrounded by what feels like an infinite fern forest, which I personally loved. The rock is also super cool to see. If you want to go to the rock sanctuary, it is not in the park, but there is a trail leading to it. I suggest you study a satellite image and get your bearings beforehand or go to the entrance for that trailhead.”

“A solid rural community church. Congregation is warm and very welcoming. Though small in numbers, the congregation actively supports its community in various ways. Pastor Carol is very approachable and her sermons always include common sense connections that actually make sense! If you are seeking a new church, I would definitely recommend that you give this one a try. Church services begin at 11am and are followed with a communal lunch.”
