I recently spent most of a recent Saturday with Emily transforming my hair from a dull, neglected mess to a vibrant, stylish masterpiece. I hadn't had more than a trim in about a decade, and my hair was suffering for it. Emily spent over five hours meticulously working her magic, creating a stunning orangey-blonde balayage that perfectly blends dark roots into sun-kissed tips.

Beyond the incredible color, Emily also gave me an amazing haircut. She listened attentively to my vague descriptions and suggestions, expertly interpreting my lack of direction into a style that perfectly suits my face and hair type. With minimal input from me, she removed a significant amount of length, added flattering layers, and gave my hair a whole new life.

Throughout the entire process, Emily was an absolute delight. Her conversation was engaging, her humor infectious, and her passion for hair evident in every touch. She even recommended a book that's just come available at the library, so I'm looking forward to that!

Since my cut and color, I've found myself making more effort to do my hair. It's no longer a chore; it's an enjoyable ritual that allows me to express myself. This place is an amazing small business run by an incredibly passionate woman that has assembled an amazing team of professionals all around! EMILY ESPECIALLY is such an amazing stylist! Her work speaks for itself, which she readily documents on her socials (it's how I found her). What makes Emily special is how kind and caring she is of her clients, even the new ones. She easily calmed any anxiety I had with finding a new stylist after 15 years. She is a stylist in the truest sense of the word and has plenty of it to share! She uses her fine arts background to plan looks and cuts and make product and styling recommendations, and her communication style is dripping with trust and good vibes. You will leave looking as great as you feel, don't pass up the opportunity to work with Em!

I worked with Emily and loved every second of it! I came in with a lot of anxiety, as this was my first haircut in over a year and had no idea what I wanted. Emily was so friendly, funny and communicative every step of the process, I felt very comfortable and enjoyed chatting with her! In the end, Emily and I discussed a few features I did & didn't like for my own hair and I asked her to do whatever she felt fit me the most and I really love the results.
