Eugene's Violin Studio

Eugene has been teaching my son Violin for last 6 months. Eugene's teaching is very methodical and effective. My son was playing violin before, but had many technical mistakes. Eugene patiently worked with him, to unlearn his mistakes and I see dramatic improvement in his playing. He is very patient, flexible and accommodating and my son enjoys his classes.

Eugene has been our daughter's violin teacher for about 6 years. He's incredibly patient, detail oriented and is keen on making sure the kids develop proper technique. I've attended many of his studio recitals over the years and it's amazing how much the kids improve at each and every recital. He's definitely the best violin teacher around!

Our daughter has been taking violin lessons from Eugene for about a year and a half and she has improved wonderfully. Her ability to listen, her tone, her music reading, her tuning, technique, and overall sound have all improved and it is a pleasure for me to watch the lessons as Eugene coaxes her best performances out of her. I also really enjoy listening to the lessons when Eugene plays along with her.

Eugene has been our teen’s teacher for the last 2 years. We started lessons from Eugene after he was highly recommended by a friend who played cello in the Seattle
Symphony. Eugene has helped keep our teen challenged and moving forward in their violin studies. He has been a wonderful teacher. Here’s a review from our teen: Eugene has been an amazing teacher for me the last 2 years. He has helped me to improve my violin playing and technique a lot. He is patient, relaxed, and encouraging in lessons. The pieces he gives me always help me improve a specific technique. The way he teaches is effective and he is by far the best violin teacher I’ve ever had.

My son has been taking lessons from Eugene for the last couple of years and has really enjoyed his teaching style. Eugene is relaxed and patient, and is flexible enough to accommodate my son’s sometimes hectic high school schedule. I’d say he focuses quite a bit on technique, but not so much as to create any frustration. He always has good suggestions for new pieces that my son likes to play, but that also target whichever specific technique he’s hoping to help him develop. His recitals are often held at rest homes which my son surprisingly enjoyed. Eugene was also quite helpful in preparing my son for auditions for school orchestra spots—spurring him on a bit when he needed it, offering advice, and calming him down a bit too when necessary. Overall we’re really glad to have found him.
