I took a lot of swimming lessons before and still was not feeling comfortable with the deep water. Orca Swim classes helped me a lot to be way more confident in a deep water. Sterling was a great teacher, very patient and thorough with us in teaching the next step. Never thought swimming is very mental than physical. It's all about the relationship with the water first. It's honestly a life-changing moment for me. I would never see the water the same again... Thank you Orca!
Great experience with the beginner foundations one course. Sterling was patient and helpful, having peers made learning more fun, and the pool was warm and comfortable. Amazed to have learned to swim in just a few days!
I took the Foundations 1 course. It helped me create a renewed relationship with water. I loved how the course was structured not just to learn new skills but also change the mindset towards swimming. I learned a lot, and left with a lot of curiosity for a lot more. I highly recommend Orca Swim School, and am certainly going back for more courses.
The foundation 1 course was great! Really helped me feel more comfortable and confident in water. Made me realize the importance of the mental aspect of swimming and swimming is 80% mental and 20% physical. If you are an adult wanting to learn how to swim or have a fear of water, this course is the way to go! Instructors were also great!
Fantastic school. If you are hoping to be comfortable in water, you will not regret signing up for these lessons. Every instructor we have had or come into contact with has been great!!
After just two weekends of lessons (aka the beginner class at Orca Swim School) I felt free to be in the pool and play underwater games with my girls (who took lessons at a young age and were naturally comfortable in the water).
The deep end class was awesome and I am now comfortable in deep water (I'd be further along if I spent more time in deep water after the class) but I have no anxiety about the depth of a pool, falling off a boat or jumping off of a diving board.
The joy I experience being in the water now (vs. the anxiety and discomfort I had before) is absolutely priceless. I can't recommend this program enough!!
