We visited during Sea Fair and the place was crazy, but I am ready to go back on a quite hot day and go swimming. The park looks wonderful, ready to explore it as well. Great for picnics and bike rides along the lake.
This park is so beautiful, clean, and fantastic. The first part of the park is a beautiful coastal beach with an outstanding view of Bellevue. The second park combines trails and wooden roads for hikers, trailers, and bikers. I felt relaxed and calm when I first visited this park. It felt like I had left my busy life and all the hassle behind. There are many parking lots, so you need to worry about that. The only downside I see is that there is no restroom, so it may be easy for men to find a private space and pee, but how about women? Overall, I highly recommend this park to anyone to relax after a tired and stressful day
Quite an interesting park, it feels calm and quiet, a good quick get way from city life. There are a couple of trails (not so flat!) and steep stairs if you want to get out west to 31st Ave or south to Dose Terrace / Lake Washington Blvd. Down the hill are beaches by the lake with a nice view. You'll find hikers and runners going up and down the park, as well as cyclists taking on the climb, and a community garden up the hill. The community seems to enjoy it.
Beautiful and quiet park on the lake shore.. with an amazing view of rainier.. A sunny evening walk around the lake is worth visiting !
First time here. Beautiful and spacious. Nice green lawns. Easy to get into the water. During covid, though, not a lot of social distancing on weekends.
Colman Park is located just south of the old Lake Washington Floating Bridge. The beach itself is adjacent to Mount Baker Bathing Beach, but is a part of Colman Park. The beach features grass, big drooping willows, and picnic tables. If you've brought along your Frisbee, football, soccer ball, or volleyball, the grass to the north makes a friendly playing ground.
I heart Coleman park, what a great place to go and just relax. It's rarely busy, it's quite large and plenty of spots to explore. What a great little gem, right in the city! ... (206) 684-4075.
