I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant! It does provide the best food experience in varieties. Unlimited rice is indeed necessary, and they provided for such. My personal favorite is chicken cacciatore. The restaurant itself is a refreshing place to stay and dine complemented by the great tasting food served. It was one of a kind dining experience!
Awesome sushi. The chef really put thoughts into the sushi. Not just great quality raw fish on rice. It’s very thoughtful and artwork.
Wataru is amazing. We do the sushi bar, reservations and $100 deposit are needed but absolutely worth it. Served fish from different areas , they explain everything and cut it up for you. It can definitely be pricey, but some of the best sushi I've had. When we visit from California we always stop here
One of the better Omakase that we have enjoyed compared to other West Coast cities. Sushi quality is excellent, and directly flown in from various regions of Japan as well as local and US destinations like Bainbridge Island, Alaska, Canada, etc. Very intimate setting with only 6 chef bar seats. Reservations must be made way in advance (max 6 months out). Can always check for last minute cancellations night before. Chef was friendly and engaging. Worth the very filling, personalized experience and fantastic quality of fish.
Good quality sushi and reasonably priced. The best seat is the chef's table which apparently has a different (or more expanded) menu, but alas, we couldn't get a reservation. We ended up sitting at a table and ordered the omakase. It was a nice selection and included a really nice piece of Japanese uni - yum! We also ordered the black sea bass which started off tasty but was a bit too chewy in the end. Skip that dish
