  Seattle is a pretty solid pizza town these days and Northlake Tavern is one of the OGs in the lineup of best in the city. They are definitely unique. The best pizzas have a crust that is crispy but chewy, delicious fresh sauce and top-quality toppings. NT has all of these things but they do them in a way that's is not typical. While the crust is crispy but chewy, it is not thin like it is at most of the places that successfully pull off the formula. It's thick because it has to support the weight of a massive pile of toppings. These pizzas almost look like a deep dish you might find in Chicago but they are definitely not that style. The end result is fantastic. The toppings are definitely top-notch and there are an impressive amount piled on the pie. The sauce is OK but based on my past couple of visits, I wish there was more of it. As for the restaurant, I'm not a Tavern guy so I don't care for that asthetic at all and I have kids who I can't come and dine in with so that's unfortunate but it is what it is and I usually pick it up and eat it in a park with them. Unfortunately, they're located in Seattle where it rains for a sizeable chunk of the year so that severely limits my opportunities to eat there as I have never lived closer than 25 minutes away from them and I like my pizza hot

  Fast cook and yummy! Nice people. Has nice view inside building.

  This place has been one of the best pizza experiences for over 25 years. I appreciate the staff, the quality, the consistency. You have all been amazing, and I love the freshness of all your ingredients.
  
  There definitely are very few places with heavier pizzas. Worth every penny, and their beer selection is to be appreciated.

  My friends took me to this place. My friend describe the pizza as a pie...sounded like very thick. The pizza arrived at our table. That pizza is very thick and smells very good. The pizza is very tasty and have lots of volume, we required fork and knife to eat this pizza. but pizza dough is very crispy and easy to eat. We couldn't finish the pizza and took home. I ate some after using microwave and still taste very good.

  It’s a Seattle institution. The pizza is a hybrid between deep dish and thin crust. The quality of the ingredients and the preparation is what sets it apart. The Combo is a must. This place hasn’t changed much in the twenty years I’ve been coming here and thats a GREAT thing. When you’re doing something well, just keep doing it - don’t change a thing, including the ambiance and decor. Keep it up Northlake Pizza Tavern!
