Idris Mosque

Alhamdulillah I am lucky to be near this masjid, there is so much to learn.

Great Masjid, great social distancing practices during these tough times!

Amazing and welcoming place.

The mosque is clean, and sanitized few times daily, pretty organized and clean. So many volunteers who help around, they follow social distancing rules, very peaceful place. Women have to places for prayer, an upper room, and a room on the ground, also if need be they can accommodate double the amount of space for women, if needed. While women do have less space than men, it seems because generally most of the time, more men come to the mosque, and they come more often, so it's only fair they get more space.

BTW, you don't have to be a muslim to visit, you can literally walk in and watch people pray (they have 5 prayers), you can see people reciting quran (their holly book). And people are friendly, just keep in mind, the sheik/ imam is still learning English, so be patient, and generally there are people who can translate if need be.

I felt sincerely blessed to be here today for my vaccine. Everyone was very nice (not surprising 😸) and I would be open to seeing this place again one day. I told my friend in Pakistan about my experience and he was delighted!
