I don’t claim to be an authority on sushi but I’ve had a lot all over the US and Europe and Nishino stands out over every other place I’ve ever been (I’ve been here about a half dozen times so it’s not just one lucky day). They are extremely creative with their preparations, recipes and presentations. Highly recommended is the Chef’s choice tasting menu. You have to order at least a day in advance and the chef decides on the dishes based on the best seafood available that day.
Staff members are very well-trained, polite, attentive, and knows exactly what they are doing. They give great recommendations for foods that goes well with drinks. You just made my day.
Because of the pandemic restrictions, the patio was the only seating and it was COLD. There were no heaters outside! Ny husband had to go back to the car multiple times to get me extra layers of clothes to drape over my legs and layer over my dress. The sushi was worthy enough to surpass that enormous flaw, though. Super fresh and great variety. The server didn't know that escolar can cause gastro issues but was incredibly pleasant when I told her so, and she had it replaced for us. Highly recommend--when indoor seating is available again.
