So, through our efforts to find the perfect fit, we discovered The Island School. My son is now in second grade. I could go on and on about the million reasons why I love this school, but none compare to the fact that my son loves to go to school every morning. The Island School provides him with such a strong sense of community. For example, the expectation that there is NO excluding during recess games, makes such a profound impact. The teachers are there on the playground, and they are involved. Children are held accountable for their actions. In the day and age of bullying, one can easily understand the depth of this. This is an outstanding school! The art, the Cultural Study, the library, the playground, the woods, the music, Monday morning sing, Trish, Loretta, and the list goes on and on. Boy do we consider ourselves lucky. The coffee is pretty good too:)”
