  All my travels from the East Coast last Saturday on November 12th at about 4:30 p.m. while I was driving a small white dog ran out and towards my car as if asking for help. He came right up to me and was shivering so I got him in my car and with no collar on him I drove around a few blocks and knocked on Doors and asked people walking their dogs if anyone knew him. I did not want to take him to far from the area so Needing to find help I looked online and everybody every place everywhere was closed except for River Road Animal Hospital. I arrived at 4:50 p.m., they took him in and gave him food and a warm place to spend the night. The next day on Sunday I went back to the area and did see a sign for a missing white dog named Pepe. I contacted them and early on Monday morning they were able to pick up their best friend thanks to the care of River Road Animal Hospital.

  Vet and staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the condition I was concerned my dog had. I've had another vet brush me off but Dr. Hedman took the time to research her condition, prescribe medications and refer us to a specialist. We'll be back when needed.

  I took our dog here for a private cremation. When we dropped him off I was having a hard time and the gal was very kind & sympathetic. The whole process(drop off to pick up) was pretty quick which was nice. They gave us a ready to bake clay paw print with his name which I wasn't expecting but absolutely love. The box his ashes are in is absolutely beautiful!💜 This was our first time here and I am very happy with them & the cost was more feasible then others I called.

  The most amazing staff! They make everything so easy. Always responsive and helpful. There is a lot of demand and a lot of need right now but they haven't let that negatively impact their care for our animals. Love them and so grateful for River Road!!

  We have been going here for 10 years or more. I would say the pandemic has impacted their ability to provide some services such as hospitalization, but they seem to be bouncing back. They are respectful of my furry friends and treat everyone with kindness. I do wish they still had the expanded hours they use to have.
