Just picked up 2 pieces, my Grandfather's shell backed chair and a 6' couch. Both pieces were impeccably reapholstered and refurbished.
The couch had cushions, batting and foam replaced as well as a spring. After speaking with the owner i chose a firmer foam for the coshions. The couch is now more comfortable than when I first bought it.
The chair is at least 50 years old and needed its' springs resecured, and a wiggly arm. The seet no longer sags to the front of the chair and the arm is solid. It is better than I can ever remember in my lifetime.
The selection of fabrics took me a good hour due to the sheer number of options. I got to explain what I was looking for and what I wanted for the end product. The owner worked with me and was extremely honest with expectations, cost and deadlines.
I recommend this shop to anyone looking for this type of exceptional product and service.

Came in with 4 chairs that needed new vinyl seats. Jessica was GREAT in matching the best color scheme for them. Mark did the work but he really needs to work on his customer service skills. I was expecting him to volunteer putting the finished chairs in my car. Instead, I had to ask him to do it and he looked like he was a little put out but he ended up helping me as I insisted. These chairs don't fit easily in my vehicle. Considering I paid over $500. it's the least he could do. Overall though, I recommend their workmanship, however but felt the price paid was a bit high for 30 year old chairs.

Check out the before and after pictures on this page.We had a set of late 1800's sofa and chair that we had picked up at an antique show about 2.5 years ago. We had them recovered (faux leather/real cowhide) and repaired over the last 2 months and got to bring them home yesterday! Thank you so much Valley Upholstery and to Mark and the expertise staff that all work there! What a transformation! You were able to see our vision and exceeded our expectations, while maintaining the integrity of the pieces at the same time! Much gratitude and thanks for warming our hearts and our home!

Several years ago my mother-in-law had a pink covered old chair with stains all over it and was wobbly as all heck. She had picked it out of a street side trash pile a few years before and for the past year it was her "pet's chair". It did have an interesting shape to it though, so I brought it to Valley Upholstery fully expecting to be told it should have been left in the trash pile and I apologized about it when I brought it into the store.

To my surprise, Mark and one of his associates stated it was a REALLY NICE piece... old, well worn and needing some attention but they were actually excited about! They called it an oyster shell wingback chair.

After looking through various material swatches, my wife choose a beautiful white colored fabric with a very slight small diamond pattern. As I worked nearby, I came to the shop a couple of times while they were working on it and was amazed at how they basically rebuilt the chair. It turned out beautiful and is a cherished piece in our formal living room.

It has now been over 9 years ago Mark and his crew rebuilt and reupholstered that chair... and it is still in perfect shape. I live in Sparks, NV now, but am considering making the trip with a recently acquired chais lounge that my wife would like reupholstered. We have family in Portland, OR so a couple of trips will be in order - one to drop off the piece to Mark and then another to pick it up, visiting family each trip.

Mark and his crew do excellent work and are true craftsman, and to us it's worth it to make the trips knowing the piece will be done well.
