Marriage & Family Life (Success4Couples)

So my wife and I came to Marriage & Family Life because my wife was feeling under appreciated and I didn't know what I was doing or not doing to make her feel this way. My goal was to establish better communication that would lead to more of a bond & intimacy between us. Dori from Marriage & Family life who is also married with children has been helping us with our active listening skills and showing us how to become more understanding of one another. My wife and I have been married for almost 10 years, with 3 kids & we’ve been seeing Dori for about a year now and so far it’s been working, & our marriage is still going strong. The interesting hindsight of working with Dori and Rob for almost 2 years, is the transformation of the way I think about my world and the people associated with it. I really thought I was starting marriage counseling to finally be able to get time to talk to my husband. Turns out, he didn't want to participate in that either, but thankfully Dori was willing to still counsel me through whatever this new season was in my life. Even though my relationship ultimately ended in divorce, I would in no way suggest marriage counseling failed. I won my self respect, a positive outlook, and a better understanding of my surroundings. As time gifted us opportunities to face my struggles, I learned more of where Jesus takes His place in my life. Peeling away layers of untruth takes gifted minds and to stay present in love takes even more gifted hearts. Dori and Rob helped me make sense of the senseless, and helped find words for the unspeakable. I am thankful and grateful for their time and passion, it changed my life.

FANTASTIC!! Rob gave me incredible insights into my "stuckness". He and Dori have all the credentials, but their experience and intuition is really what helped me. SO GOOD!!
I know this last year has been a crazy ride. Don't waste time running here and there, these two may be able to help you get right to the deeper issues and help you handle them.
