“This review is 5stars totally based on the kind service received on telephone from “Brandi”. Her true professionalism and enthusiasm is a rare find. Too many times in the past we have found customer service people to be condescending and seemingly on a power trip but this recent interaction with Brandi was a refreshing welcome. We have been on a payment plan to repay unpaid covid bills but unfortunately didnt realize the payment plan was an earlier date than our regular monthly bill and had paid it two days late last month. We were gone this week out of cell phone range and when we came home discovered our power off. Our new bill still wasnt due so I telephoned TPU to ask for help. I was on hold 1hr/36mins and was really franticly afraid we wouldnt be able to get power restored same day. Brandi however was extremely courteous. She immediately told me she was sorry for our wait and that she would look at our record and see how she could help. Within less than ten mins she had calmly reviewed everything, explained how the automated billing had dropped the payment plan, but gave us options to get back on track. She had our power restored in less than an hour and when We finished our conversation we understood exactly what we owe, and how we will be billed in future. You could hear “a smile” on the phone as she spoke, which is something that set Brandi pleasantly apart from other customer service people. When customers call a business they are in need of help and many times they avoid those calls because it seems like such a challenging conversation. It was a breath of fresh air feeling like it was understood that we want to keep our bill paid and not being treated like a deadbeat for being late two days. I hope TPU understands and appreciates Brandi’s service to their customers- They are likely to have more customers who will understand their billing and be timely because of their interactions with her. “This is the number to call for city waste water. I believe they have 24 hr dispatch as I called at night. I called in regarding a business that appeared to be flooding out into the street. The dispatcher asked if it could be manicopal water not sewer water but related that they would look into it immediately. I had dealt with Wastewater service individuals a few weeks before when a local water main had clogged up the pipes on the block of a good friend. They were amazing at walking through, checking out the sump, explaining things and even gave diagrams and info packets explaining how the systems works at 1 in the morning. Really awesome folks!”

“This hotel was great for our stay needs. We were visiting the downtown Tacoma area and this wasn't far. It's close to a city bus location, so mass transit was easy. The hotel's room, lobby, and breakfast area were all very nice. Very clean and inviting. The staff was very polite and helpful. The Holiday Inn and the staff were great. The only downside is the neighborhood is a bit loud and a little rundown. However, this is a location I would stay at again if in the area and in need.”

“This office and staff at service center for Veterans has been and absolute savior for me during some of my hardest times. The process is simple and fast as long as you have all the required documents and meet the eligibility requirements. However, they have recently moved to 3602 Pacific Ave Tacoma WA. So before wasting a trip to the old location which is still listed as their address, either read this review, call for the new address, or do a little bit more research to see if the new address has updated online yet. “I had a really good experience going here. Being nervous when I got there, as a drug test is not something that people like to do, the staff put me at ease. Their knowledge of what they are doing, being friendly and answering my questions made it a better experience than I thought it would be.
