“My mother was the first resident to live at La Pierre and was there for over a year when her vascular dementia required a higher level of skilled care until her passing. The care givers were very compassionate and saw to her needs both physical and emotional. They customized her day based upon her desires such as sleeping in late and still having breakfast once she was up and endless requests for coffee. She was a bit of a picky eater and they accommodated her food preferences. They allowed us to bring some of her special furniture so she felt "at home". They took her on outings and kept me informed of any changes they observed in her health and integrated all physician recommended care. As with all relationships, communication is key. The management was always responsive and listened to any requests we made. I would use La Pierre again for other family members should the need arise and have recommend them to friends of mine.”
