“Went to see Hugo for the first time today after a series of bad haircuts - and left with one of the best cuts I’ve gotten in my life. My hair is not easy to cut, and I came in with it at various lengths, all choppy and messed up. He took his time, and really put in the extra work to help me get back to a place I feel good about. “I had gone 4 years without cutting my hair and I really needed a trim to get rid of the split ends that made brushing such a chore. I decided on Beach House salon because of all the positive reviews online. I love how their website allows you to get to know the stylists. I picked Kimberly as I liked the Instagram pics of the work she has done. I was so glad I picked her! When I arrived I explained what I wanted done and she immediately put me at ease with her professionalism and friendliness. She started off by giving me a scalp massage which felt so good and relaxing. Kimberly followed my instructions to the letter and just trimmed the amount needed to get rid of the split ends. During the trim we chatted away. I love how nice she is. This put me right at ease. She then proceeded to style it with a curling iron which was a nice finishing touch. Kimberly recommended a hair mask which can also be used as a moisturizer. I love how the products they stock are cruelty free which is so important to me. I look forward to seeing how the hair mask works for me. Kimberly was very helpful with tips on how to keep my hair moisturized as this is a problem for me. This was my first time here but not the last. I will be a repeat customer with Kimberly!”

I did my underarms, legs, and an extended bikini. If I felt any pain at all it only lasted for a couple seconds and it was just in certain areas. It was actually a fun experience—many laughs were had because let’s face it the situation is a little awkward, but with Sheri it feels like you’re hanging out with your sister or your bff. Prices are very fair, the place looks nice and clean, soothing music, plenty of parking. I was in and out of there in like 60-70 minutes which is quick considering everything I had done. I would absolutely go back!”

“Last year as a birthday gift a relative paid for me to get a hair relaxing since I had been struggling for a while finding a location in Snohomish county that was experienced and knowledgeable dealing with ethic hair. Upon meeting the owner, I immediately felt comfortable as if my own mother was dressing my hair. (My mom's profession is cosmetology). I had a relaxer application. Since I haven't had much maintenance prior a spent a bit more than I would have preferred but she was worth every penny. To my understanding at the time she was the only stylist in the salon. So appointments are pretty necessary, also if you think here rates are a bit much she is worth saving for. There is not many hair salons businesses in the state of Washington that accommodate the needs of African American ethic people. She provides hair relaxing, hair weaving and more. She has been able to run this business by herself and still cover the funds needed to keep the salon open. I plan on making another appointment with her once I am in a financially stable place.”
