(September 18, 2018, 1:16 pm)In response to the reviewer "iammetcash", I have worked in the dental field before, and it IS NOT uncommon for a dentist who CAN do some root canals, to refer to an endodontist for others... If a canal is calcified, if the tooth has had a previous root canal, if a crack is suspected in the tooth that is not visible on an x-ray, and among other reasons, a dentist may refer you to an endodontist instead of doing the root canal themselves, as an endodontist has microscopes and other instruments a general dentist does not have. As for waiting 6 weeks, it is not Ward Dental's fault the Endodontist had a full schedule and could not see you before then. I am assuming Ward dental did all they could for you including calling in an antibiotic to help with the pain from infection, until you could get into seeing the endodontist. I think it is a poor review, and deceptive giving this establishment a 1 star rating, simply because you may misunderstand the dynamics. I personally have been to Ward dental care and he is an awesome dentist and does EVERYTHING he can to steer you in the right direction with your dental health. He provides every available option to you and goes as far as to show you the x-ray or image of the tooth and explain in detail what you need and why. It is a smaller office, and although sometimes it may be difficult to get through on the phone as the other reviewer stated, this is because they are small office and may only have one person available to answer the phone at any given time. So I would never hold that against them. They are always polite, respectful, and do they're very best to make sure you are satisfied with your dental healthcare.

(September 8, 2017, 11:10 am)I havent been to a dentist in years because of anxiety and bad dentists previously but Dr.Ward and his staff are awesome. He is very nice and once he learned of my anxiety he started joking and changing the subject. I got a root canal and had to be numned. Previous dental experiences left me in pain from the needles and such when the numbness wore off but not this time. I dont know what he does different but ill never see another dentist but him!!
