Such a great yoga experience!! You can tell Kassy knows her stuff and not only conveys the physical benefits of yoga, but also the emotional and psychological benefits as well. You leave the lesson feeling complete on all levels. Wonderfully inviting and welcoming environment whether it's your first time or 50th time coming in. Great people and great yoga instruction!

Great space to practice yoga no matter what level you are! I particularly enjoy Sunday Healing Yoga. A great way to wind down the weekend and kickstart your week refreshed and relaxed. James creates a beautiful space physically and mentally to let go and revive.

So my friend Erin and I have been going to Yoga at Soul Song in Cottage Grove the last few months. It’s been hard and relaxing and good for showing me how much room for growth I have in rebuilding my stability and strength. Today, my legs were shaking like wild doing even the simplest of lunges, and just about gave out a couple of times. Honestly I was experiencing shame and frustration that took me out of the moment.

Then our instructor, Kassy, suggested we try braced headstands. Look, friends, I can’t even downward dog properly because of my wrist and general inflexibility. But Kassy was using blocks, three on each side of our heads, to take our weight. I could let go of my fears about crushing my neck, putting weight on my wrist. She helped me kick up into my FIRST EVER head stand and FRIENDS.

    IT WAS A SPIRITUAL MOMENT.

I was able to bring myself down, slow and controlled, and even kick myself back up again unassisted. I felt shifted, like a vinaigrette whose contents had calcified at the bottom and was suddenly a delicious, well seasoned whole again. Parts of myself that I have been unable to break free from the sediment of despair were floating in my heart again - joy! Relief! Freedom and control over my own body! Like my blood, dried in my veins, was liquified again and ran warmly throughout my entire system.

Thank you, Erin, and thank you, Kassy, for the gift of this experience ❤️

If you want to try yoga but you’re afraid of being judged, or feeling frustrated with your body, or are a little unsure about the whole thing, let Kassy, James and the crew take your hand and bring you into space where no one has to feel shame for being a human with a human body, learning a difficult new thing.

Over the past five years, I have been given the gift of practicing yoga with both Kassy and James. They truly have helped me feel at peace with the body and improved my practice. Their teachings have had a positive influence in my life overall. I have practiced across the county and I can proudly say that The Soul’s Song is the place I call my yoga home.

We love working with Kassy at The Soul's Song! After each lesson my son comes home feeling excited about what he is working on and her method of delivery. Her positivism and encouragement are infectious!
