The best pizza I’ve had in the state. The ingredients they use are always fresh and tasty. Yeah it might be a lil more pricey but you get what you pay for and I would pay double the prices for these yummy pies.
Always trying new tap beers. It can get a little cramped waiting for a carry out pizza. It is worth the effort. Best to call for pickup. Seating outside in the warmer weather. Did I mention that the pizza is great? !
Sals is so good. I didn’t expect the pizza to be as good as it Was. Staff was very friendly and informed us that we could get one pizza with two separate special pizzas on it (1/2 one type 1/2 the other). The fig pizza was very unique and very very good and will leave you satisfied. Our appetizer was fantastic too definitely recommend that as it was a perfect spice. What a fantastic pizza shop!
I absolutely love the pizza at Salvatore's Tomato Pies, so my husband and I used their catering services for our wedding reception meal! The pizza, appetizers, and salad were incredible, as you would expect from Sal's! However, communication with the catering manager was incredibly, incredibly difficult. I'm talking hundreds of emails to nail down basic details. Nearly every communication I sent required multiple follow ups due to slow/no response. It definitely was one of the more stressful parts of planning our wedding. Again, the food was really good, but I would recommend discussing communication with them before booking them for catering services.
OMG this crust! Crispy, chewy, and not greasy at all! To die for. We got the one with roasted garlic, pepperoni, tomato and added cremini mushrooms (+$3). I dream about this pizza... It's so perfect!
The regular seasonal salad with balsamic vinaigrette is refreshing and perfect to pair with the pizzas.

Phone 608-238-6040. Tomato pies in the Trenton, N.J., immigrant tradition: cheese first, then toppings, then sauce. Specials, locally sourced ingredients. A select menu of tacos, too.
Salvatore's Tomato Pies is about family. I grew up in the shadow of Trenton, NJ, home of some of the best pizzas on the planet. My fathers family came from Loreto Di Aprutino and my Mothers family came from Cassandrino, a small town outside of Naples.
