A&W Restaurant

One of the very best fast food restaurants I have been to in a while. They have the real frosted mugs and the fresh root beer with special tap. Just makes the experience complete. Clean and staff is outstanding. Food was perfect.

My son loves their vanilla ice cream but in a cup and not on a cone. The restaurant here in Portage will honor his request without charging double but not the one in deforest and my son said it didn't taste the same as the portage restaurant. He's from California so when he visits I try and make it a point to find an A & W. The ice cream may not have tasted the same but the store and bathrooms were clean, staff was friendly, easy access for in and out off the freeway, and food was served timely and hot like I like it so no complaints. Support small business everyone. A&W owner update: He responded in kind as any good business owner would inviting me back but surprise, surprise kind sir, I've been back at least one time since my review and still have no complaints. Will always patronize and respect your business and the A&W franchises. Thank you

Came through from Rockford and was so pleased to find happy, pleasant people working. They went out of their way to make sure that we did not feel rushed.
Our fiod was fresh and piping hot and oh so delicious! Definitely marking this down as a must do for a return visit!

Yes, It is most excellent! True American Root Beer. Make sure you find in, frosty mug of real root beer, it's chilly outside but still this is premium grade-A.
This is a true hidden gem, everything is taken care of and clean, and it's not because of Corona virus.
The patio, building, inside areas are great. Tap root beer and draw your own right from the Tap!

The food is always really good!!!. And the customer service is great... We eat here often and I've never been disappointed... I've never had bad food or bad service.... I highly recommend this particular A&W
