“This place is a hidden gem. We're so thankful it is right around the corner in this little village - not only to have a place to eat, but also a great place to eat! Creative sandwiches and salads, it has quickly become a favorite. Fresh salads that go beyond the usual Ceasar or Cobb, and amazing sandwiches. My husband loves their Reuben, it is his favorite. I love their Veggie Burger -fresh veggie patty, so flavorful, a great sauce and available on a delicious pretzel bun. Always hits the spot. Their curry chicken salad is perfect - wish I had the recipe. Their brisket is a savory and delicious treat, wish I could eat it every day. Their Cole Slaw is an easy favorite, and their potato salad is good (and I'm not usually a fan of potato salad) . For the quality of ingredients, the uniqueness of their recipes, and the location these prices are totally reasonable. Service is always quick and we always enjoy a chat with the folks who man the cash register. This place is great and I recommend it to anyone passing through, or even if it is a drive - it's worth it!”

“Exceeded my expectations! Their fried perch on Friday night was phenomenal; the best fish I've had at a restaurant in a very long time, or maybe ever. It didn't have any breading on it, but was lightly coated and pan fried to crispy perfection, just how I like it. Their tartar sauce and cole slaw were also very good, and the price was surprisingly reasonable. We also enjoyed the mac-n-cheese bites. They were very accommodating. We sat down at 9:58 pm, unaware that the kitchen closes at 10. Our server offered to go check if the cooks could still make us something; we told her no, as we didn't want to make them work late. She asked anyway, and said it was no problem since they hadn't started cleaning up yet. Our server was great, and the food was much better than I expected from this type of place. The only minor downside was that it was a little noisy/echoey inside, I think due to the way it's constructed. But hey, it's a bar after all. I recommend this place!”

“This place was awesome! From the outside, it does look like it is dark and a bit of a secret/locals only type of bar. However, upon entering the Wisconsin style of restaurant was awesome. Halloween decor was hung proud so this is a great place to go to if you are looking for a Spooky meal. The bar tenders were nice and the drinks are reasonably priced. If you like Wisconsin classic drinks and a unique stop in Cottage Grove, this bar is for you.”

“Fun country bar between Oregon and Evansville. I've been coming here for over 5 years now with my boyfriend, he's been going there for way longer and knows a decent amount of the people that come in. On Wednesday nights he shoots pool on the White Rock team during pool season, they just won again. Dave is the current owner, he keeps his bar clean and well stocked, often mingles with his customers. I come out usually on some Wednesday nights and sometimes every other weekend as we are friends with the bartender Kassandra. Wednesday nights the bar is usually hopping with the regulars and the pool team, some of them enjoying the gambling machines. Weekends you can find a younger crowd all hanging around having a good time, shooting pool or playing darts. If you come by often enough you will quickly fall in love with that neighborhood bar feel.”

I'm a big guy with a big appetite and I had trouble finishing it in one sitting. “Overall a good experience. Dynamic Pricing is an interesting social experiment. No matter what time of day I play, it's the same price. Even booking a week out is the same price. (Maybe I'm missing something) $39 for nine holes and a cart at 6:40 pm doesn't feel dynamic. The course is pretty slow after 6:00 pm so good luck getting in all nine holes. $67.50 for 18 and a cart on the weekend is good but a third of the greens are baked and burned by the sun. I would just expect a better kept green for that pricing. Carts are great, they even have the USB chargers. Staff is friendly. Even the rangers! (Keep your pace of play) Bartenders and Cart Girls are timely and drink prices are fair. Range is $15 for the big buckets and most of the balls are in great shape so good value. Range is one of those downhill ranges so not my favorite but it's good to warm up for a round! Replace your divots and fix your greens. I feel like the community who plays here actually does that out here. The ranger station has complimentary divot fixers. A+ Overall it's a great place to play golf, I've played here 10 times now and nary a bad experience.”

“I went through the drive through in Oregon, WI. I ordered 1 Impossible Whopper, 2 regular Whoppers and an 8 piece jalapeños poppers. As I pulled out, I took what I thought was a popper out of the bag and took a bite. It was a chicken nugget!!! I immediately spit it out. I took it back in the store and they gave my poppers, which were sitting right there and said they were sorry. THAT DOES NOT CUT IT FOR ME!! I have been a vegetarian for years. When I knew it was chicken, I was disgusted. That would be like giving an alcoholic a glass of wine and told him it was grape juice. With that first sip, all their sobriety would be gone. If the staff would have been paying attention, this would not have happened. I feel sick to my stomach - literally!!! I am sure you do not understand my repulsion to murdering animals for human consumption, but I feel angry and a "I'm sorry" is not enough. *** Update 4/27 I received a very concerned and polite email from the head of Burger King in Madison. He totally understands how I felt as he is a Vegan and has had that happened. He will be sending two coupons for any item of my choice. I wish all companies were as positively reactive as he was.”

“Just like most McDonald's during the hot days there are times they run out some of the frozen items from time to time. Always check your food before you leave because they get very busy in there drive through that sometimes am item might be wrong or missing. Currently they are only doing takeout, drive through and Delivery(through other food delivery services). This is the closest McDonald's to my house and for the most part they do a great job making our order. They have always been nice when I come back with something wrong with my order. They fix it immediately. Handicap parking not right by the door. You have cross the path of the cars looping around from the drive through. Make sure you pay attention to the cars. If there are lots of cars in the double car drive through, just go inside to place your order. Everything I've gone inside there are very few people inside.”
