(August 27, 2018, 3:49 pm)Wonderful, not too crowded on a Sunday afternoon, the water was clear and clean. You can feel pure sand when you're waist deep! There was an ice cream truck that drove through at one point. There's also a grassy section where people were picnicking and playing volleyball. You can also go out on the breakwall to see a bright red lighthouse on one end of the beach. The bathrooms are fairly close as well.

(August 9, 2018, 2:55 pm)Simmons Island is a lovely park but it could be so much better with a bit of work. The beach is nice and very accessible. The old 'field house' could be gem for the city if they would just invest in rehabbing it.
(July 24, 2018, 5:50 pm)Beautiful place! Went for the Fourth of July, had a wonderful time with my best friend and her family. People were wonderful, the police was out but it was a very friendly, happy all around day. I really enjoyed being there.
