“My mom entered Southwinds in January 2018 and she has been very happy here. She's always clean, dressed and engaged with the other residents, things she needs staff help to achieve. We find it to be a welcoming family environment and Anita's personal interest in her well-being is outstanding. My mom recently had a health scare that required us to remove her temporarily to another facility, where conditions were abhorrent. She was isolated and ignored. We couldn't wait to get her back to Southwinds and Joel and the management at Southwinds worked very hard to welcome her back. This says it all: Anita accompanied us to bring my mom back. Watching my mom light up like a Christmas tree when she was interacting with Anita says it all - a resident's complete trust and happiness from her caregiver. To me that's the epitome of care-giving, someone who takes a personal interest in the well-being of a client. We are relieved my mom is back at Southwinds.
