(May 19, 2018, 5:58 pm)This is a nice nature preserve. We stopped at the beach and bathhouse first and parked there. The nature preserve is small, but crisscrossed with many trail with some beautiful views of the dunes and lake. There is some severe erosion along the main trail, but that provided an interesting view of the geology.

(April 27, 2018, 3:06 pm)OK so it's tiny but we made the most of it and loved it! Beautiful views of lake Michigan from atop the dunes, sand trailers that are sometimes marked, took the dogs in a hike and they loved it. Beware there are people that let their dogs loose there which isn't very courteous. Got some great pictures, had a great day, make sure you stay upwind from the poop (sanitation) plant. Parked at Southport Park. Had a great time. Already went back with a friend for a longer hike with the dogs. Enjoy! And please keep your dogs leashed!
