We love this place!!!! So many options: trails, fields, woods, water. It’s a bit of a drive, but we take the trip a few times a year - absolutely worth it!
So much fun!! Koda had a blast running around exploring the trails. Walking along the water and seeing the beauty in mother nature was just breath taking! Best dog park we've been to yet
This is our favorite dog park! It’s big has a lot of trails and hills so it tires my dogs out!
There’s a river that flows through and plenty of spots for your dogs to go in. There’s also a pond if you take the left side of the fork when you walk in.
Keep in mind this is a free dog park so there are no pop bags available for you. You should bring your own. There’s only one trash can in the very beginning so people will set their poop bags down along the trail then on they’re way back come pick them up. The first part of the dog path before it forks smells a lot like pee and poop because that’s where most dogs do their business but after that it doesn’t smell like that.
I have been to quite a few different dog parks across the country and this is one of my favorites. I love the openness about this one. Doesn't feel closed in (like those small fenced in areas) as this one doesn't have that. You get to walk out in nature with your dog and that's whatmy family and I love doing. We have a dog who naturally likes to explore and this was great for her. There were quite a few people/dogs there that day, but with how big the area is, you'll never see them.
This is by far the best dog park around (and I've tried many)! This is miles of wooded land with creeks and so much more. There are many trails throughout that all kind of loop around so you can go for a short hike or a long one! It's amazing in summer with lost of green and nice water (deep enough in some places for adults). It's gorgeous in fall when all the leaves start to change. It's even a nice hike in winter with snow everywhere and the beautiful quite nature atmosphere. Occasionally, after lots of rain it will get muddy especially if they haven't put down new mulch lately. Also, be cautious of animals you haven't met before there have been a few instances of not so nice dogs. It does state on the sign nice dogs only but it's not controlled by anyone. It's basically a beautiful piece of land the Johnson family farm donated into a beautiful dog park. I go there often with my friend and her dogs and we rarely have an issue. Just be vigilant and keep an eye on your dog(s). We've only ever had issues when the other owners were not watching their own dogs.
But please give it a try and enjoy! There's no other place like it and it's and absolute treat for both humans and animals alike!
