Blue Badger Bar & Grill

We stopped here for lunch while driving from Green Bay back in to Chicago and it was AMAZING. The atmosphere is top notch (keep in mind it's on top of a gas station ...don't let that deter you). Super clean and spacious. Order via the app and the food and drinks magically arrive. Our bartender / server was super friendly and attentive. But the FOOD was the shining star. The fried chicken as hot and fresh and yummy. The philly was so so good (best bun!). Even my picky wife was super happy. The fries were hot and fresh and even better dipped in the beer cheese soup. If you want a hidden gem of a lunch spot, go here.

Very nice & clean place I was very impressed with the indoor or outdoor dinner, wish I could remember our waiter name, she was very nice & cool. The wings & chicken sandwich was good & season well. The drinks were refreshing. Over all if you looking for a nice & chill place to eat I recommend this place.

This was a very unusual place. It's set over a truck stop type area. Downstairs you can order from a little air stream RV looking counter or go upstairs and order from the bar. You can get your food to go or they will bring it to your table upstairs. There is a large patio setting outside that's very cool and you can sit out there as well. The servers are nice and food came pretty quickly. It looks like it's set up perfectly for concert goers attending concerts next door.

Take the negative reviews with a grain of salt!

Family and I went here for the first time tonight for dinner and we ate out on the patio..wonderful!
My mom and I had the fried chicken dinner and husband had the burger and cheese curds. Fried chicken was amazing..(second) best in town. Cheese curds were great! And mom and myself had side salads..so fresh and delicious! Ordering was simple and throughout our time being there several waitstaff stopped by to ask if we needed assistance with ordering/needed anything while we waited. Super friendly staff. Overall great experience! Only “complaint” is that another person brought our food and they left right away after dropping our food off and we were missing two side salads. We waited for a bit hoping a waitress would stop by to check on us but we ended up just going inside to the bar to let them know..no big deal we understand. Thank you Blue Badger for a great family dinner! We love your patio! (Just wish the fire tables would’ve been turned on once it got dark out). By the way…Loved the badger wall, flamingo photo op area downstairs and the “peelie” tickets!

I highly recommend this place if you are out on the road and need to stop for lunch. I ordered a chicken wrap with fries to go and ate it while I drove. The wrap tasted great, and was really well put together - super helpful for driving and eating, and didn't make a mess everywhere. The fries were really good too - perfectly crispy. I know this is going to sound silly, but I really liked their take out boxes as well - they are really sturdy and great for holding the food in the passenger seat without getting food or grease all over. Everything was super hot and really fresh tasting. I'll be back again next time I'm up in Wisconsin.
