Exactly how a doc visit should be.

This is in my opinion an awesome drs. office. Good location, spotlessly clean, nice interior with a small play area for children, not controlled by big pharma. Love it. This office does not accept insurance, you have to pay in full and get reinbursed by your insurance company. This is how they keep their costs down and their choices free from being influenced by the industry at large. Dr. Rick Barney was great, thorough and professional. Connie at the desk, very pleasant, very nice. I would offer one suggestion - if you are lucky enough to have health insurance, it would save you a lot of steps if at the end of your visit you asked for a copy of the record for the day. This way, this document can be included with your claim form for reimbursement. This office does no medical coding - understandable, this is one of the ways cost is kept down. But with out the days record a generic receipt will not get you compensated from insurance. Using this office is a positive experience. You do have to do that extra step but ~ its for the greater good so worth the effort.

This is how a visit to the doctor should actually be! Great, no pressure questions and none of the hassle of insurance or billing. I appreciate the more natural approach to modern medicine here, and will definitely be coming back if a cold strikes again!
