  Our son has been learning Mandarin since he was 4. We started with a different online company. After 2 years, I wanted to find a program who would further his Mandarin learning. So, when we found this company, it was the best decision we made. Our son absolutely loves Mandarin, and now even more since Shan decided to take him as one of her students. Shan is incredibly patient, kind but firm, and extremely encouraging. We love her ability to change up her lessons in order to keep our son engaged the whole hour. Shan's knowledge and passion for the Chinese culture and language has caused our son to help retain and learn this language and culture even better than our current and past online education providers and previous private tutors we have hired in the past.

  My 6 year old has been taking Chinese classes with Ms. Shan Lu and we are enjoying the journey. Our son has learned so much this past few months. Classes are affordable, creative and lots of fun. We have learned so much about the Chinese culture.Over all we are very content and recommend the services.

  I am currently taking adult Mandarin classes with Shan Lu. I started in August of 2022. I own my own business and have a few clients that speak Mandarin so I thought it'd be great to learn about their culture and at the same time acquire knowledge of a new language. I am very happy with the early results. It's only been a few months, but the different methods Shan Lu implements enables me to learn at a decent pace without feeling overwhelmed. I genuinely look forward to class each week and can't wait to continue learning with Shan Lu!!!!!

  Shan Lu is an amazing mandarin teacher! In addition to explaining the Chinese word and symbol, she also provides a lot of history and cultural facts. Her method of teaching really makes the information easy to remember and understand, especially as a complete beginner to the language. I would highly recommend her class to anyone!

  I highly recommend Shan Lu for learning Mandarin! I've tried at least 6 different tutors so I can tell you what works and doesn't work. As an adult student, I appreciate and can easily tell that she has extensive experience in teaching. As important, she also has a great ability to read people, knowing when to push ahead and when to take a moment to pause and reflect during the lessons. She has worked with me the past month on a speech I will be giving in China to my employees there, I couldn't have done it without her!
