“My mom loved this place when she lived in Wisconsin for a summer in her teens, back in ‘89. I heard her talk about it my entire childhood. When she heard we were going to be in the area, she begged for us to make a stop by for her. I was happy to report to her that it lived up to the pedestal she put it on. I’ve never had creamier custard. The seating area is nice, shaded, and peaceful. The staff was unbelievably friendly, and the fish fry was absolutely delicious. “Senor Luna's had become the only place we go for Friday night fish. They have a "happy hour" until 6:00pm which is almost unheard of on a Friday night. Their baked fish is one of the best I've ever tasted. The portions are plentiful. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Their standard Mexican menu is great too. I've never been disappointed.”

I Googled “Best Fried Chicken in Milwaukee.” Jo Jo’s just kept coming up, so I decided, despite living on the other side of town, I’ll go there! So I drove from Whitefish Bay to Jo Jo’s. It was well worth the drive. I went in, ordered, had some laughs with the owner, employees and friendly neighborhood customers, while I waited for the fresh chicken to be cooked to order. That’s how they do it. Didn’t take long and I was happy to have it freshly cooked anyway. The chicken was amazing! Golden and crispy on the outside and juicy and cooked to perfection on the inside. Not greasy. Just flavorable and good! If I would change anything, it might have been just a tad on the salty side, but certainly nothing that would stop me from going back to take out more. I will be back, for sure!”
