“My teenage sons trained at the Civil Air Patrol facility at Davidson Airfield in early 1999-2002. I enjoyed taking them there & they enjoyed Air Patrol training on many evenings after attending Hayfield Secondary School nearby. Staff & management at CAP did an excellent job training teenage boys. Taught them discipline & air rescue procedures. After 9/11 security made getting in & out of the field difficult for civilians but eventually it all worked out. ”

This location is owned by the Federal Aviation Administration, so please conduct yourself accordingly. Empty pockets and remove your shoes, keep laptops open for inspection. This VORTAC is a non-directional radio beacon, which is a bit ironic, as it's a directional aid. Go figure.”
