Been listening to flim-flam dealers (and private sellers) for high mileage, not well maintained, overpriced vehicles. I ain't a paying $10k or more for a 200k vehicle, that needs $6k plus in mechanical work, just to be safe. My purchase; a 2004 Honda Odyssey, 134k on the odometer, under 5k, needing $1100 of work (none of it safety urgent) per my mechanic's shop. After arriving at his lot, I test drove the car, and everything worked as it should. I then made the 500-mile, 8-hour drive back home and had absolutely ZERO problems.
