“I am not accustomed to writing reviews, but this one deserves it. I spent a total of 23 years in the body shop business either on the custom side or collision repair side. Over the years I had to have a trained eye to see damage and imperfections in sheet metal. Shade and florescent lights are the perfect places to find such imperfections. It was under those conditions where we inspected the damage and the repairs after their repair service was complete. Before I lose you with more details, let me get to the review. My wife's car had damage from a hail storm and most all of the top surface panels had damage, including 3 major ones in the aluminum hood. Not only I, but Adam the owner felt the hood damage would have the most challenge to it. Not only was the hood flawless when I picked it up, but every panel and every dent was repaired in the same manner. I have seen good paintless dent repairs in my years, but this was the first time I had such a service done on a personal vehicle, so my eye was more critical than before. There were multiple dents all over the vehicle and I would defy anyone to show me where any of them were. The work performed was simply that good. I could not recommend a company more highly, from Adam to those technicians who performed the work. I am simply awed by what they accomplished. Thank you Adam and staff, you are all to be commended.”

My service was completed in a good amount of time, but I was a little disappointed that my car was not washed upon service completion😔 at least clean our windows so we can see better on the way out, if you're not going to wash the car. I went to the Parts department to look for some paint for my glossy black wheels and they didn't have anything of that nature. I again was disappointed 😞 but I will find something to fix my wheel.”

“After blowing out my tire on very hot and dusty Arizona freeway and then shredding it getting to safety, I began what I already knew was going to be a fool's errand to try and find and install a replacement tire for my '08 A4 Audi - definitely NOT a run of the mill car in the greater Phoenix area. With not feeling well and needing to be at the medical center twice a week for treatments and not much time or patience for this "challenge" I began calling around only to find my worst fears confirmed: no tires in stock and up to 2 weeks to order and install. Given the spare was not too reliable, I came to realize that the rest of my tires were on the verge of the same fate and needed to be replaced as well. So I turned again to MY ALL TIME TRUSTED AND RELIABLE PEPBOYS. Monty, the store manager and the team have been the closest to my most trusted garage I used for service for decades back in Cleveland. And when we relocated to the Mesa, AZ area 3 yrs ago, this team has been SO WONDERFUL in caring for our cars to the point where they have turned away unnecessary service to our cars that other places said we ABSOLUTELY HAD TO DO. And even though they were training new team members and so busy, they came to my rescue, as well as several other customers by the amount of people dropping off cars when I was there, by finding me a very good deal and doing it quickly (in the same day!) and getting me back on my way in safety with peace of mind. I've always done my own work on my cars so I know when I can trust a mechanic. And I truly trust these guys; they have a small local shop feeling under a national name roof. And I am a fan for life!”

Fast forward to 2018, I had to replace the front seat covers due to wear and tear. The back covers didn't need replacement because I hardly have passengers. I like this place because they have a variety of seat cover. They have different colors, materials, and styles. Plus, they installed the seat covers with no extra charge! They explore the various types of covers with you, and at the end you decide what you would like to put in your car. Personally, I think it's great that they give you recommendations without any pressure to choose what they believe would be best for you. “I love to visit Van Winkle when I am visiting my in laws. I have purchased tires from them mid-trip on more than one occasion. They have a wide variety of new and used tires for a range of applications. They offer mechanical services and if your auto needs something they cannot do, then they can recommend nearby reputable mechanic shops. They have friendly employees, prompt service, and a clean office from my experience. Highly recommend! I went in most recently in early June of 2023 and they were very friendly and talked with my two young sons and let them feel like they were helping with the tire swap. I had three tires replaced on wheels I brought there. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes with the tires I purchased mounted and balanced for an almost unbelievably reasonable price. All around a very pleasant experience”
