“Our beloved dog Bear unexpectedly passed away and I was beyond devastated. I called Rainbow Bridge trying to talk through my tears and I instantly realized I called the right place. The lady I spoke to on the phone was so very sweet and friendly. Once we arrived at the facility we were greeted at the car and she gave me a big hug which was what I absolutely needed, then she carried in our precious little dog for us. I was blown away by how nice and clean the place was. She took our little guy into a private room, so we could say our final goodbye to him. She was so compassionate and gave me another hug before we left, I was just a complete wreck. A few days later when we arrived to pick up Bear's remains, my son being a 7 year old was really interested in seeing the ashes, so the man offered to take us back to see the ashes and explained what they do with the ashes of the pets people don't want to take. It was very nice of him to do that! I wish I had remembered their names, but my mind is still consumed with losing my little buddy. I loved the urn and paw print I received, I really recommend getting the pawprint done. This place exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend them.”

“I'm not sure how people can rate a cemetery at a low scale... crazy. Anyway, I'll start off by saying that I am not a superstitious person, but my wife and daughter are enthusiasts. To ME, it is a VERY peaceful and clean cemetery that is very unassuming from the side of the road. (I found one alcoholic drink can in the cemetery but I picked it up to throw away.) A lot of the gravestones are worn to the point where they are hard to read. The Blood family is buried at the far end of the cemetery opposite the road. The cemetery itself is surrounded by trees. Again, it is very nice. From my daughter's perspective, she said that it was nice but a little creepy. She did a few voice recordings and it was nifty to hear that there is static and some odd noises that weren't immediately explainable. I would blame electronic interference from something, but this place is pretty remote... I'm not a paranormal expert, but I tend to rationalize this sort of stuff. She shared the recordings with my wife, which made her want to visit. I guess that's cool. The history of this place is not bad either. There doesn't seem to be anything crazy about the Blood family, but I guess people's imaginations can run amuck. There is a story of a boyish apparition that appears near this area, but we didn't run into anything. (Again, this depends on what you believe or what you experience for yourself.) So depending on how you approach this cemetery, it'll either be a nice quiet stop or an interesting story.”

“If you like history, especially King Phillip's War, you need to come visit. Open during library or daylight hours. No one will stop you from going at other times, but it would be hard for anyone to find and help you if you got hurt in the dark. Suggest sticking to daylight/library-open hours. Library has a bike rack. The URL above gives all the hiking trails of the Monastery plus some history. Come explore!”
