“Doc Costa was my delivering OB/GYN at Soin, and had it not been her deciding on an early (2wk) delivery due to borderline preeclampsia I'm not sure what might have happened. Found out afterwards via bloodwork & placental testing that I definitely had preeclampsia. My bp numbers were reading high upper numbers with normal lower numbers for the last 3 weeks of my pregnancy, ntm the last couple of months my asthma reappeared - haven't suffered asthma since I was 7 years old! Met with all of the doctors on staff there, and while they are all great, Doc Costa and Doc Crawford are by far our favorites. Wonderful bedside demeanor, informative, knowledgeable, and took their time with me and all of my inane WebMd/Doc Google mini freakouts. Doc Costa & co were awesome during my birthing process - listened to our concerns and thoroughly explained what the next steps and expectations were. Also, they were all awesome at dealing with my ridiculous word vomit ramblings after my meds were introduced (and I wanted to do laughing gas... pffffft!) It was an amazing experience for my first child, and I only wish I could have 5 more so we would have our own 1st line hockey team for CBJ. Who knows... maybe we'll be back in a year or so for some MOAR!!! ;) ”

“Dr. Kumar has removed my right kidney found to be cancerous during imaging for acute pancreatitis. While in the hospital bed I accused Dr. Kumar of just cutting me open and stitching me up. The look on his face was priceless. I was so pain free that I thought he must not have removed my kidney. Recovery was uneventful and follow up over the last 4 years found no related cancer. He was a great personality. Two years ago he removed my prostate with another painless recovery. More discomfort than the kidney but much less than expected. Yes, patients may have to wait but he is busy taking care of other patients. He is worth the wait. The anesthesiologist told me Dr Kumar uses a lot of anesthetic to minimize post operative pain. The anesthesiologist said they have been telling surgeons to do that for 30 years. Bob”

Dr. Simpson was my doctor for years and I was so sad when I had to leave due to losing my insurance coverage because I really loved having her as my doctor. It is rare for me personally to establish the level of trust and respect that I had for her when it comes to medical providers. She always made me feel comfortable and confident while in her care, as did her medical assistant Gypsy. I tend to be more natural minded and one major thing that stuck out to me was that Dr.Simpson never once tried to push meds, or tried to prescribe ANY unecessary meds at all. “Words are not enough to help you see how great of a surgeon Dr. Liker and his staff are. He did my back surgery back in 2018 and I felt instant relief from pain. Even the healing process was not painful at all! I had a 13mm herniated disc which he made a very small incision on my lower back to remove the bulging part causing my pain. I have never had an issue with my back after that. Dr. Liker is truly amazing at what he does!”
