“Stopped by with my toddler who wanted to see a fire truck and was whole-heartedly welcomed by the Garner Volunteer Fire Department. Firefighter William was absolutely fabulous! He showed my son the fire truck and the equipment they wear and even explained some of the more complicated things as well, which made it fun and interesting for me too. He didn’t rush us out the door. Instead, he took time with my son and genuinely seemed to enjoy showing him what being a hero is all about! The Fire Chief gave my son a red helmet and a sticker and turned the lights on the Fire chief truck as they were leaving, which he loved! They are are absolutely wonderful here and I can’t say enough good things about them.”
