“My daughter has been learning taekwondo here for about a year now, and she is making wonderful progress all while having fun. She is being taught many useful skills that help with basic self defense along with lots of actual taekwondo techniques. Master Jesse is able to control and teach a class very well, he not only teaches them taekwondo but also discipline, assuring that they are well behaved both in class and at home. My daughter loves her class and she has worked hard to go from a white to a purple belt. The actual gym itself is always kept very clean and is very well equipped yet organized at all times. It’s a great environment for all of the kids, my daughter has made great friends through her classes. We hope that she can learn so much more through taekwondo and we recommend these classes to anyone!”

“I highly recommend Fit Body Bootcamp. The trainers are motivating and they keep you moving throughout the workout. The workout is 45 minutes long and the exercises are planned out in advance to target different parts of the body each day. You never have to waste time deciding what you are going to do. Each exercise is demonstrated and the trainers help you with your form if needed. There are modifications you can do if a particular exercise is not good for you due to injury or other issue. There are occasional “challenges” that help motivate you to push yourself to reach your goals. I did the 6 week challenge and “won” because I lost the most weight (16 lbs.). I think if you know you are doing your best and reaching your goals then you’ve already won, but it’s still nice to be acknowledged. It’s a nice environment with friendly people but you are able to stay focused and get in, do your workout, and get out and on with your day. There is an app to schedule your classes which helps keep you accountable for showing up. Darren, the owner is always responsive and available to help you with any questions and also provides suggestions for dietary choices to help maintain your goals. “Ann and I worked at the same company for many years and she was aware of my many ups and downs and also aware of the challenges I had because of prior surgery on both knees. In the past, whenever I hired a trainer from the gym I belong to, they would simply apply a cookie cutter approach to me with no regard to my age or physical constraints. I would ALWAYS end up injured and mentally defeated. But Ann designed a program customized just for me that took my limitations into consideration. She started me out with exercises that strengthened the muscles surrounding my knees so that I could do the more difficult moves later on without compromising the joints. She always provides modification alternatives and encourages feedback. Ann has gotten me out of my cardio-only rut and helped me to appreciate the weight training aspects of a balanced fitness regimen. I may never truly love weight training, but I realize now that it is KEY, especially for women my age. My goal for this year is to maintain the exercise while focusing on making my eating more consistent and "cleaner". It's also exciting that I can actually see a future where dual total knee replacements don't necessarily have to be a part of my future.
