“Compassion was lacking in regards to a dying family member by certain nursing staff HOWEVER with the help of an amazing woman at the information desk, the Hospital President Mark Gordon and Chief Medical Officer Dr. David Jordan personally stepped in and and were able to provide my family with a priceless encounter at their hospital. I imagine that they do not deal often with individuals that come and go but if the rest of Moses Cone staff in Burlington could follow their lead, this hospital would not have such a poor rating. Unfortunately, hospitals becomes large organizations based on numbers instead of individual care. These 3 people really demonstrated what true human compassion looks like and should strive to become in a hospital setting. I am forever grateful to them!”

“My son who is 31 yrs old and suffers from schizophrenia was sent here and I made my 1st visit to see him. The facility is an older place but it was very clean, I am disabled and can't walk long distances. The staff was so courteous they located a wheelchair for me for my visit. My son had nothing but good things to say about his treatment there. I noticed a change for the better in his behavior.His social worker heard that I was there visiting and stopped by to give me an update on how this stay was going and the things they were working on with him. I was very pleased”

“Absolutely love my nurse (Darcie)! She knows her stuff and is so inviting. I so appreciate that she calls the day before to remind me of my appointment the next day. She calls like clock work when the new blood test results come in and goes over them and she doesn't like to over book. She gives her patients a lot of time and makes sure before you leave everything is explained and taken care of. The best!!! HW”
