“Ive been with United Marine Underwriters since 2016 when I bought my boat. Becky was very helpful in working with me in setting up the policy. She readily agreed to insure the boat for what I paid for it.: $40,000. In transporting the boat down the Chesapeake Bay, I experienced engine failure due to Exhaust filling the motor bay and shutting down both motors. I did not know the cause at the time. I had to get a tow and it cost nearly $700. Embarrased, I submitted a claim before the ink was dry on the policy. Becky accepted my claim and issued a check promptly. My only minor complaint is my premiums have gone up approximately 25% over three years. But I'm still ahead and the premium is still competitive with other providers. I'm staying with UMU.”
