Not only was he quite affordable for a lawyer, accepting monthly payment plans for those of lower income, but he has a fantastic eye for seeing straight to the point of things, and trimming away the fluff and distractions. Makes for the occasionally slightly gruff demeanor, but is overall an excellent quality in a lawyer. He gives you realistic view on your situation and what you can do with your options. He's transparent about his costs and breaks down for you what your money is actually going towards. I found him to be professional but still casual in the sense where I didn't feel intimidated and felt I could speak openly. He saw my case, and recognized out loud to me that I've clearly needed help for years, and that he will be the one to bat for me where I need it.
