“Excellent community library. Obviously a small branch of Gail Borden, but has tons of resources including a computer lab, kids area with tons to do, conference rooms, etc. Good place to hang out for a few hours with the kids.”

“I would add that beyond free tooling, the most valuable part for maker space are people. You are going to find a lot interesting minds with diverse background, and bonds in a small community! Go try it out.”

“Very nice facility. The grounds are well manacured and maintained. Ample parking. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. There’s a tour of the old farm house which has been staged to the period of Mr. Graham’s younger years. The “library “ was one of the best exhibits I’ve ever attended. Well planned and allowed people to move through in moderate sized groups. The estimated time for the tour is 1 1/2 hours and that would only get you through the exhibits in the barn. Allow that much to enjoy the grounds and main house. Easy street access. Would definitely recommend this place. Well worth the time.”

“Great local neighborhood library. Been here with family and hung out with friends here over time. Library is usually clean and organized. They have bulletin boards of local community resources and job postings. Staff are decent people and usually have a good "setup" of current library events and workshops going on. Local folks in Houston area around town can come and get some "tax work" done here whenever they are hosting "tax events". Sometimes the staff will reserve the "guest room" for a local church, charity or organization to sponsor their service, event or "meeting". I've participated in one of the local church functions that was going on here during Thanksgiving and it was a pleasant experience. This library does not "have to change" but like most of anything else I think this library could use some improvements in customer service, public restroom upkeep, library layout and the overall building.”

“This is such a nice library. There are so many programs to make it more of a community spot, rather than just a place to get books. Of course, there is a great book collection as well as movies and music. But there are also great programs for preschool and school aged children as well as a craft table and various toys. For adults, there are a lot of book clubs, speakers, movie nights, etc. It's a really wonderful local resource.”

“I love Smoky Hill Library! I come here to study around 4-5 times per week and I haven’t had a single bad experience here. The staff is very welcoming, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have a wide selection of books and other resources, as well as easy-to-use and up-to-date technology available. They have a variety of tables to work at on the second level and a gorgeous fireplace and balcony. They even have an awesome cafe with plenty of delicious coffee, snack, sandwich, and pastry options. This is one of my favorite places in Colorado and I’ll always keep coming back. I like to call this place my second home. Thank you for providing such an incredible atmosphere for this community, Smoky Hill!!”
