“Best birthday party yet! My daughter just turned 8. She loves animals and wants to be a Veterinarian when she grows up. I found Anthony's business - called "Uncle Tony's Reptile Shack" - online. I saw the other Google reviews. I called and asked for a copy of his Certificate of Insurance before the party. He provided it no problem. That made me comfortable. My wife and I thought my daughter would only want cute cuddly animals but to my surprise my daughter absolutely wanted this show. And she was right - it was amazing. Anthony has a wealth of knowledge and completely engaged all the kids and parents. Anthony captured their attention immediately and kept it the whole hour - they didn't stop cheering and laughing. Anthony's business is also breeding and selling reptiles and it seems he's a founder of a Long Island Reptile Expo. When I asked he said he started it. He appears to take very good care of these animals. As he was putting them away he actually asked if I could hold off discussing payment method for a few moments as he needed to get the AC going in his suburban so the animals would be in the proper temperature. His animals are very clean and docile. The only dangerous one was actually the giant tortoise because it snaps and its beak can take off a hand. I found it amusing that the innocent tortoise was the one animal that the kids couldn't handle while they were hugging and petting snakes named Banana and Maria (and Maria was gigantic!) as well as a bearded Dragon named Spike and a Tarantula. They did get one mamal. Anthony brought a ferret who loved getting his belly scratched. Payment was easy and cost was very reasonable. I looked up party options and if I had ordered a standard petting zoo - it would have been much less exciting or educational. It also would have cost much more money. Suffice it to say we are glad we used Anthony ("Uncle Tony's Reptile Shack"). He's a relatively young guy who studied wildlife science, interned in Texas with reptiles, worked at a Zoo and went on to start his own business back on Long Island. Our daughter's party was a blast for both the kids and parents and well worth his very reasonable price. A++ for "Uncle Tony's Reptile Shack."”

“I'm not a huge online 'review' person, but I saw a recent negative review and I had to shut it down. That person has clearly never set foot on Laura's property. Laura is the sweetest human I've encountered and her dogs are treated like royalty. Her property is huge for the dogs to run around on. She has a staff caring for her pups with her. All of her animals were visibly clean, friendly, well groomed and playful. It is evident they are immaculately cared for. She goes above and beyond for each dog. We got our Dachshund, Pretzel, from her in April of this year, and he is gorgeous, healthy, and with the sweetest disposition. I get constant compliments on how good he is with kids---he is my 4 year olds best friend. When we purchased him, he came with organized and documented paperwork of his vetting, a microchip, a bag of food, nutrical, puppy pads, a toothbrush and toothpaste(for dogs) and collars. She even shipped us a book of a Dachshund named Pretzel as a surprise for our daughter. If and when we do decide to get a second dog, I will 100% be returning to Laura. Please disregard the other negative reviews, as it is evident they have never dealt with her directly.”

“From the moment my husband and I walked in we were greeted with smiles. This place was a recommendation from my friend who got her husky here named storm. I was extremely impressed about how clean and immaculate this place was. We immediately found our baby boy Finn ( now Maximilian). We take him home next week and I am so excited!! “They did a wonderful job teaching our Golden retriever puppy her manners during her board and train. Very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. They offer several other classes like puppy preschool and distraction class. We are moving away and will miss this very knowledgeable staff! They also have a great pet shop and helped us with suggesting a puppy food when our puppy was having stomach issues. The one they suggested eased her stomach and we stuck with it. They offer toys, beds, chew toys, hygiene care and much more!”

“Store seemed a little unorganized but the staff was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I had done my own research on what dog food I wanted to feed my 4 month old English Bulldogs and they had it. There was a young man stocking in that area and he was able to give me more information on it and a couple of others. Once I had made my decision he was kind enough to carry it to the register for me since I had failed to get a cart. I wish I had gotten his name because he really deserves some recognition. I know it's his job but he was very kind and didn't act like I was a bother like others have done in other stores. Petco did an excellent job in hiring this young man. Maizie and Mimosa also loved all their new toys!”

“My parents used Jay a few months ago for a big project. We recently installed an in-ground pool and knew the landscaping would “make or break” all the hard work already done. Jay and his team did not disappoint. As many other reviews state, his knowledge and passion for all elements that comprise a beautiful yard are abundantly clear throughout the whole process. His designer, Craig, came up with a beautiful plan that gives us something to strive to over time. The work that was done is breathtaking, and that’s with it being cold and nothing being in bloom! They went above and beyond to make sure the yard looked perfect, even straightening areas they didn’t work on. Jay personally arranged plants several times to make sure the look was just right. “I’ve been coming here for over 2 years for grooming for my 2 doodles. They looked great when I picked them up and then when I went to brush them the next day I found mats around Theo’s mouth and Finn’s ears were very uneven. I had to trim them both. I was disappointed after what I spent and tipped. I’ll have to look for another groomer. It’s unfortunate because I really like the location. Anna my regular groomer reached out to me. I will be returning there. I did not use her for the last grooming appt.”
