“August 5 at Lake Forest Farmers Market a man appeared to be very disturbed and was agitated and hurting himself, thrashing on the pavement. Officers responded and while I am no expert on the mentally ill, they reassured the man, found his ID and medication list and assisted EMT staff to restrain and transport- with what I saw as the least possible force and coercion. I felt they were commited to avoiding injury and assuring they, too were safe. This all happened 10 feet from our booth. Good job to the officers! Thank you.”
