“I’m guessing Mr. One Star reviewed got popped, and the confrontationalism was well founded. I had my own run in with them, one that had me pulled over with 4 Officers present, and then dealing with the Sergeant. You have to GIVE respect to receive it. I answered what they asked me, and showed them respect. Surprise! They treated me with respect, and dignity. I walked out when I probably shouldn’t have. They aren’t “out to get us”, they’re here to help. I wish you guys could’ve seen all the drug safety/treatment stuff posted all over the station. This PD does things the RIGHT way. I’m sorry that I am qualified to judge it but I’ve dealt with my share of them, I would take Southbury PD over anyone.”

He has an extensive rapsheet and together with his girlfriend Linda are known alcoholics and drug addicts who live off the system while robbing businesses and homes. “My experience was excellent. I was harassed and physically abused by a man behind me at a sporting event. The took my report promptly and seriously. AS FAR AS MR. Khadeel's remark goes.... i am 99.9% sure if the gold was REAL he would have taken the money and RUN. By saying he was doing a good deed to "protect" someone else in the future is obviously pure fabricated baloney. He went to all that trouble for himself and was upset when It turned out he would not be ripping off this little old lady. The officer should be lauded for his astute observation of the matter and resisting the urge to throw Mr. Khadeel in jail!”

I live in Lakewood NJ a growing town of more than a 100k Orthodox jews living here , the state police is usually not such a welcoming sight in Lakewood, as that would indicate an expensive ticket blitz around our town, but my perception changed as today on 8/22/2018 I was waiting online in wawa in lakewood nj to pay for my coffee, and in front of me is a state trooper in work uniform paying for his lunch, when it came my turn to pay, the cashier tells me to my shock that the state trooper has paid for my coffee!! And i am a orthodox Jewish male and not used to receiving gifts from any stranger (the jewish population here in lakewood is pretty much hated here) So to get my coffee paid for on a random sunny Wednesday by a random sweet new Jersey state trooper is refreshing as can be!!! Thanks guys for keeping me safe and for keeping my eyes open with the free coffee :)”

“Stopped an officer for directions. Lost. Once in Rhinebeck did that and we were almost arrested and told "we are not tour escorts, move on" or something snotty. In Puerto Rico we got so lost and it was scary that when I asked for help the police called their chief and drove a half hour to our hotel with the lights flashing. I am noting this only because she officer was polite and helped us. To protect and serve is what they spout and some do that and some do not, and this officer did.”

I was on the phone with a friend who lives in your town tonight when I heard a crash & the sounds of glass breaking and then her phone skittered away and went dead. It sounded like she had fallen and so I got your # from Google and called the front desk. With no further ado, the officer on duty took the info, got somebody over there and I got a call to tell me she had indeed had an accident and was going to be checked out medically. Since I live 2000 miles away, the quick response on my friend's behalf was a great comfort. Good work.”
