The owner Ash was in contact with me directly throughout the whole process and he really could not have provided better service and guidance. I appreciated that he explained about the materials and process of the installation. I learned about the importance of a 'cricket' to deflect water and debris from forming a dam behind my chimney (my old roof did not have this) and he even gave solid advice on the choice of color for the roof and gutters. They use the top-of-the-line GAF shingles that come with a 50 year manufacturers warranty. It made a difference to be able to really trust that he took pride in his work and saw my house as a reflection of his company's good name. Plus his team handled all the paperwork for permits, which was a big help for a busy person like me to not have to worry about it. My house is a tall building, so the roof is quite high, but his team met the challenge head on and they are a great group of guys. They had the old roof removed and new roof installed all in a single day. Actually less than a day! And they were careful to make sure they hauled away all the old shingles and left the property spotless. Marseli is a good, local, family-owned business run by Ash and his wife Marilyn and I recommend them to anyone looking for a roofer who takes pride in a job well done and great customer service. “Asphalt shingle installation sounds so simple and easy. . . . Ours was anything but. The roofing crew had to remove 5-6 layers of old asphalt roofing AND the original shakes, deck the roof and then install new roof. The crew was amazing. They were thorough, fast, clean. The crew was incredibly hard working. The crew impressed our neighbors enough that they came over when job was done to compliment them on their work. I think my yard was cleaner when they were done than before they started. In fact I know it was because they ran a magnet over the yard and I saw several fasteners from a previous job we had done earlier this year. Jeff and Arron Barker were very helpful in helping us determine what would be the most cost effective way to get this job done. The original job was to reroof house and large shop/garage but when we discovered the original shake shingles were still on our house instead of decking the price jumped up significantly. Jeff and Arron were very understanding and re-worked the estimate several times in order for us to get what we needed for a price that was still very good.
