“It's a dinky little hole - in - the - wall place; basically a butcher shop with a produce and grocery section. There is a liquor store separated by a dividing wall. The quality of the prepared foods is high. The grocery selection is understandably very limited as they have very little space. But its proximity to Rt. 195 gives it the on - the - way - home "Oops, I better pick up some bread, milk, toilet paper and something for dinner" advantage. I'd have given it five stars but the last time I was there the lady checking me out was missing a personality. I love dinky little hole - in - the - wall places and even the more so when the staff is friendly and chatty. "Local charm" they call that". Let's work on that Glory...”

“An upscale supermarket in downtown Bethel. There are good deals to be had here, but the premium offerings tend to come with a premium price. That's not a bad thing as you can often find local produce and products depending on the season. They are nearly renovating the store, so it has the look and feel of a small Wegmans. My only gripe is that they got rid of the deli counter number system, so people are often milling around trying to figure out who showed up first and where the line starts.”

“I don't buy all my groceries here, of course, but what I do buy doesn't disappoint me. Its mainly produce, cold cuts, some dairy and bulk goods. Their produce is top notch, I really enjoy the organic carrots and salad mixes. I like the "sale" produce area at the front. Cold cuts are great, especially the in house kind, simply excellent. Sure, some extra price but you can tell the quality. I love the bulk aisle - there's some deals there. Especially in oatmeal, its significantly cheaper than the packaged kind and organic too. Plantain chips is a great addition to bulk items. I also like their baked goods area and their florist never disappoints. They had an awesome Amazon Prime deal for roses at Valentines Day - 2 dozen roses for $20?! (Something like that) It was unheard of compared to just about anywhere else.”

“They have the best fabric selections of any Walmart in the area. Other than that it's a pretty standard Walmart. Their milk placement is weird. It's beyond the cash registers so you have to leave the line to get milk. They don't have a wide variety of food items here so you can't do all of your shopping at this Walmart. There are some good grocery stores nearby.”

“This place is great! The selection is beyond what I expected and the quality is pretty good. The price on produce is very competitive when compared to bigger grocery stores near by. As a bonus the selection on international food is quite decent. They have a seafood section that looked well stocked but did not provide any information on the country of origin, which is a bit unsettling. They did offer frozen seafood that printed the origin but I think that's law. Will definitely come back!”

But one thing that I didn’t like was there were teens playing around, running and making lewd remarks at customers and managers passed by and didn’t stop the teens or ask them to leave the paying customers alone. “The new ShopRite is about 3 times the size of the one it replaced, and a bit larger than the jumbo ShopRite in Croton. The store has 8 electric cars, for example vs 3 in the old store. Curiously, the parking lot, with spaces for 750 -- vs 250 in the old store -- has only 8 handicapped spots, half if what they had in the old store. There are also 2 charge spots for electric cars. The aisles inside are wide and well lit. They have the largest fresh vegetable and fresh seafood sections in the region. They expanded the self checkout section to accommodate more groceries. There's a smoothie counter, Asian sushi and Chinese food next to an expanded deli.”
