“This review is on the grounds of Bryn Mawr rather than the academics or admissions requirements. Bryn Mawr College has a lovely campus for walking, running, or otherwise quiet, relaxing exploits. There is plenty of shade on this bucolic campus which is located along Philadelphia’s upscale “Main Line.” There is an abundance of gothic architecture on the campus, inspired by the gothic style buildings of Oxford and Cambridge. The campus has a few hilly areas, particularly around the sports fields, but otherwise mainly flat. One of the things I found remarkable about this campus is the flowers and blooming plants are in such beautiful condition (in August!). Unlike other campuses, even renowned gardens in the area, the flowers are not dead - they are gorgeous and obviously well cared for. This little gem is a perfect place to enjoy the peaceful outdoors.”

“Absolutely amazing community college for both the new college student and the established adult. Many of the professors give extensive care to the way they teach to make learning a positive environment for the students. CRC provides many aids to those with disabilities -- the campus and every classroom is designed so that those with disabilities are accomodated. CRC has a great variety of majors to choose from, and the campus itself is not very crowded, making it easy to get into the classes you need. Make sure you do your research if you plan to attend this college! Look through transfer programs if you plan to transfer, or look through major and graduation requirements if you plan to get your A.A./A.S. degree. If you are new to the college system, I implore you to take Freshman Seminar (INDIS 313) with Dr. BJ Snowden. He teaches all of the different mechanisms of the college system, and how one can manuever through their college career with ease. Overall, this community college is great for the new and old student alike, and is located in (yes, this is proven), the most diverse area in the world. It is a great place for all demographics -- CRC is home to many students with many cultural and sociological backgrounds. If you plan to achieve, this is your campus. P.S. It's cheap too!”

“I love the Bay Area Acting Studio. I took Acting for Non Actors in the spring and now am enrolled in a 6 month series for people seriously interested in acting. The benefits are enormous to include making new friends, having fun, stepping out of your comfort zone, learning to be in the moment, and improving your memory and speed of processing. I work with Kyle Chen who is a highly skilled, supportive instructor who gradually challenges you to evolve. We practice skits and get a change to practice being in the moment and performing. I highly recommend Bay Area Acting Studio!! as a wonderful, safe and stimulating place to grow!!”

“Great education facility, and great adult ed program. Hugely improved from what it was ten years ago when I went for welding. David Guinn, the adult ed department head, is a man who really cares about the school and the students. If you sign up for the advanced manufacturing technology adult ed course, you will get a lot of great hands on experience, as well as a complete knowledge base. A piece of advice about the advanced manufacturing technology instructors: let Steve Abner do most of the teaching you receive, he is simply better at teaching. The other instructor, who co-teaches the course alongside him, Jeff, has his moments where he can really shine, but don't let him push you around and mess with you too much. My experience with Jeff has been mostly him telling stories about all the places he has traveled to and worked at, and telling me to "figure it out" and not actually helping or explaining things, or teaching, whenever I asked him for help or to explain something, and micromanages you. You might as well be learning without an instructor if Jeff is involved, because you are not being taught, anyway. Don't let him push you around, and turn to Steve for help and instruction.”

“We took a 2 hour sailing tour at Port Townsend at the end of a 10 day trip to the Pacific Northwest. What a way to end a fantastic trip! Amber is a great sailor. She didn’t even flinch when a Pontoon Plane landed between us and a ferry coming into port. She is also a wonderful tour guide. Gliding around the bay is a peaceful way to get a feel for the sites, activities and beauty of the area. Amber even had great tips for dining. If you want, you can assist with the sailing, or if not, you can relax and enjoy the ride. He helped, I relaxed.”
