“TL; DR - Dr. Bahou and his wonderful staff ACTUALLY CARE about your pet. We had our young little warrior kitten, Agamemnon, burst one of his paw pads. It would heal and burst once a month. Took him in to get checked out. Dr. Bahou came in, picked him up, pet him a bit (I could tell he was examining him), set him down on the table and continued, scratched his neck behind his ears and kissed his forehead. I knew then, we were in the right place. Weeks of in and out visits led to an examination of his paw. Dr. Bahou had given him local antibiotics and steroids to help fight off a possible infection but it didn't work. X-rays revealed a growth, did a biopsy and found out it was a rare but slow growing blood cancer. When we talked about amputation my wife was very concerned. Dr. Bahou originally wanted to do a full amputation, when we talked it over about a above the elbow, he agreed that for balance, grooming and playing, an above the elbow might be better. I don't know if it was against his better judgement, but he made us feel like we were really part of the process. He wanted my little warrior to have as much of his old life as he could, or at least gave the perception that he did - which made my wife very happy. Still more weeks of in and out for check ups post op. We pick him up and find a little heart cut out of medical tape on his nubbin (picture). He's healing well, no irritation, infection, or bleeding. Agamemnon gets his stitches of soon, and he's already back to his old self! Albeit a little more off balance lol 29/10 you should go to Dr. Bahou.”

“Compassionate, thorough care. First off, it's nice to have a vet that loves cats! Dr. Lindsay treats my senior cat along with 3 cats we interited/adopted. Other reviews mentioned bad communication or not receiving prices up front. That has never been my experience. The front desk staff is super personable and able to answer lots of questions. I always get timely follow-up calls from Dr. Lindsey about results. This may not be the vet for you if you want to cut costs, but they do always offer me a range of treatment options and payment plans. Highly recommend.”

“I initially took my big boy to Barfield because the vet I used to go to wasn’t taking walk-ins. I googled other options & this one happened to be down the street & the website stated they accept walk-ins, but I called to be sure. The receptionist, who is always pleasant, told me they did but they do their appointments first, which is completely understandable. I got him in, got him registered, and they quickly came to the waiting room for us! I was shocked at how fast we got called back! The vet tech was great & so was Dr. Barker! He came back quickly, and he was VERY thorough about my baby’s skin allergy and we talked about treatment options, costs, etc. He sent us home with our meds & Bruno’s skin got so much better while taking it! They even ran out and he set me up a free follow-up appointment to get the rest of his dosage. UPDATE: I went back today, as a walk-in again, because my boy was vomiting this morning. Today I had Dr. Fetterman. Again, VERY thorough in treatment options and what he assessed while they had him on the exam table. He gave me options of conservative treatment at home, along with other remedies. We also discussed different in-office options because I told him I was working on a budget today until I get paid later. He was able to work with me and we got sent home with medicine that have completely helped my baby’s vomiting! The only con is some things are on the pricey side, but honestly, I’m willing to pay it if it means my fur baby feels better. Thank you Barfield Animal Hospital! ♥️”

“Dr. Bailey saved our boxer's life when she ate a rock and intestinal ischemia (death) had started. She is amazing at correctly diagnosing and treating as our boxer later tore her acl and Dr. Bailey accurately and quickly diagnosed her for that as well.She takes her time, goes the extra step, explains everything in detail, and has a very delightful disposition. Our Lilly loves her! The Northeast Vetinary Clinic has amazing staff and has never disappointed us. The waits can be long, 2-3 hours for the entire visit including payment but they prioritize emergencies and in my experience most good human doctor's take about the same amount of time as well as having a steady amount of patients. Appointments help. All of the extra diagnostic tests do add up but they will tell which ones are absolutely needed if you are on a limited budget and are very through. The waiting room is a bit confined but it is always very clean as well as the exam rooms. The vetinary assistants are very helpful and compassionate and seem to enjoy their jobs. When had difficulty in coming up with the money for Lilly's surgery they suggested Care Credit which really came in handy. It would be nice if they had some kind of payment system though.”
