“It’s been over a year since I saw this vet. It’s taken me this long to review because I didn’t want to start any issues, but I was needing to bring my pet in and just checked updated reviews and feel Compelled to tell my experience. I brought my dog, dozer, in when he was very sick. He was 14 years old… I had my Beloved companion since he was 7 weeks. He experienced life with me. Dozer was beyond helping.. he was an English bulldog mix and already lived beyond his expected years. Ultimately I had to put him down the day I brought him in… but the issue was the treatment I received by the vet. Dozer lost 15lbs in a week. He began losing weight earlier than month and not really eating, so I made homemade food with rice a rotisserie chicken. He ate it immediately in seconds. Was I avoidIng the inevitable? Yes. It was clear his age was really getting to him… but the thought of having to say goodbye terrified me; and that was selfish. When the vet tech placed dozer on the table, he was so skinny.. he began to relieve himself uncontrollably. The treatment I received was weighted down in such judgement and coldness, it took me aback. I broke down… I’m talking sobbing until I was gagging type Of breaking down. The vet was so cold and I even told him that. I told him he is treating me as if I neglected my dog.. as if I did this.. through sobbing uncontrollably. Even as I said this the vet tech started nodding her head in what seemed like her agreeing with me. After that he tried to act cold more, by saying “I never said that, did I?” And again I sobbed and said “it’s how you are treating me. How you are treating dozer. It’s what you are conveying to me with your eye rolls and cold words”. Again.. I was sobbing horribly throughout this entire time. He then became very compassionate and even had tears in his eyes. I think he made a judgment call and was very wrong; and could clearly see this dog was my life. I’m a single mom to 4 kids.. I didn’t have the money to pour into tests and i was sobbing to him saying i feel like I’m killing my dog. That it was all my fault (god I’m crying now). His words to me were “you could have all the money in the world and I still don’t think it will do any good here. He is a bulldog.. he’s lived a very long Life. The best thing you could do for him is give him peace”; with very noticeable tears in his eyes. So while at first I was devastated by the treatment I received… because I truly believe he was blaming me at first.. he became very compassionate. I don’t know this vet personally. I’m not a family member or employee… I just know he must see some horrible situations and conditions that animals are kept in and I can only imagine the toll it would take on any human being. I left without my beloved best friend that day.. but I did leave with gratitude towards that vet and his employees. We all make mistakes and bad judgement calls; but he truly did make it right and I base my opinions on the change I see in people. I now have dozer with me everyday in a beautiful wood box I got with the cremation… I love that dog so much and miss him horribly and still blame myself; but I try to remember those kind words.”

“Dr Kayla is a wonderful veterinarian. Compassionate, fully explains what she has diagnosed as your pets condition, and what treatment plan she feels is best. This is an extremely busy practice, yet I've never felt rushed or not listened to by the entire staff.”

“We came here in a panic, a few years ago we found a dog laying in the middle of nowhere. He had been attacked by a bobcat or big cat of some sort, had almost bled out and was swollen and could not even get up off the ground . We couldn’t leave him and gurneyed him into our car and thought we would just put him down because he was so bad. The doctor saw him and told us he had been out in the heat for probably 5 days, but he could heal if we had it in us and could afford surgeries. Dr. Stabilized him and gave him antibiotics and we drove him home 250 miles to our vet who told us he was a Jindo and was excited to bring him back to health for us . 4 rough months of bandage changing, tubes and missing work for appointments, we now have THE BEST DOG EVER!! So much love and gratitude, cuddly and kissy Major is the best thing that’s happened to us in our dog journey 😭🥳😍”

“My daughter and her family were evacuated by helicopter from Denham Springs during the flood in 2016. Unfortunately the shelter was unable to house their little dog. I managed to get to the shelter and was stranded for several days due to continued flooding. To avoid trying to find a temporary shelter for their dog I decided to keep her with me in my car. We managed to endure the heat by occasionally running the ac in my car and parking under trees. We had plenty of food and water. The shelter volunteers were constantly checking on us. They contacted the vet here and told her about us. She immediately came over to check on our little dog (even offering any needed medical services) and urged, well, practically begged me to let her take Zelda (our dog) to her clinic. I refused, aware of the space available compared to the number of animals in need. After exhausting her attempts to change my mind she returned with food and other items for our dog. The kindness and compassion displayed by this vet are not only remarkable, but extremely rare. Zelda, my daughter and her family are all safe and sound thanks to the vet here and the shelter volunteers.”

“When I was a child, I went to Dr. Diesfeld and I want everyone to know that he may be the best doctor on this planet. It is because of him that I do not have 3rd degree burns on my leg and that I know what I am allergic too, he also solved the mystery of why I was throwing up for 6 months straight as a child. He uses only natural things to help you he will not push pills down your throat. He is the most realistic doctor I have ever had and I would be more than willing to place my own children in his care. He will go out of his way to care for anybody and I can give my word to that.”

“My family has been going here for over 10 years and I can honestly say the doctors and staff here are the most compassionate people. They get us on the schedule same-day for emergencies and I always feel listened to by the doctors. When our family dog passed, one of the doctors called and checked in with our family. I cannot say enough nice things about this clinic! 5 stars all the way!”

“We have an 18 month old mixed breed dog named Dunkin that has hip dysplasia. We had an issue with meds on a Friday right before a holiday and you guys did everything you could for us to get his meds to control pain. I will never take my animals to another vet. Thank you for caring for them the same as we do!”

“Dr. Summers was the nicest Veterinarian I've ever met! We just moved to the area and I decided to pick the closest vet near me for my pup Charli. I had two options and was just going in for pup shots and figured if I don't like them, I'll just try the other place. Well let me tell you I'm glad I went there first. I decided after the first visit I liked them and I hadn't even met her till the second visit. I absolutely love her! Highly recommend Violet Veterinary Clinic. It was clean, friendly staff and a very knowledgeable down to earth friendly Vet.”

“This place treats all of our pets like they're their own. They try treats for my tough (haha) doggo to help entice her into a happier vaccination, and they know how to help us lightly sedate her prior to arrival so we can get her nails trimmed without any issues. Theyre always gental and very thorough. Pricey indeed, but the quality you get sets the bar high. Worth every penny for the care and love our pets receive when we come here!”

“I took my Labrador puppy there today. I’ve been in the animal industry for almost 20 years and this place checked every box. They were so compassionate and accommodated my overbearing dog mom needs. A HUGE relief to be able trust someone with my little DAVE. Thank you to Dr. Bone and staff for making us feel comfortable and providing the perfect combo of good vibes and high caliber veterinary care. So relieved that his surgery is over and we could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you!!!”

“My parents have been taking their dogs here and had wonderful things to say. Today I had to take my cat in and had a wonderful experience. I called and they had me in the same day. The staff and Dr. were wonderful and caring. Within a half an hour he was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection treated and sent home to rest and recover. I can't recommend them enough.”
